Member benefits Members of the Cooperative include students and teachers. For students, membership provides education about the internal arts, including studying various T'ai Chi forms, medical Qigong, Dao Yin and meditation. Students can select from Cooperative teachers as to who is best for them to learn from at present. Opportunities to change teachers are available. Also included are special workshops and seminars, at discounted prices; these might be taught by other teachers, including alternative health care providers, Masters and Grandmasters. For teachers, insurance coverage, classroom space and marketing of your classes is provided, as are the discounted prices for all Cooperative workshops and seminars. As a self-help learning and sharing cooperative based around the internal meditative arts of T'ai Chi, Qigong and Dao Yin, and including modern healing technologies of sound, vibration and light, it is expected that sharing in classes and outside classes will occur on a regular basis. There will be special events throughout the year to bring all teachers and students together for sharing and learning. An open mind and respect are our only prerequisites. Be yourself, join us, and enjoy your learning journey! 5 Great Reasons to Be a MemberWorkshops and Retreats

When you become a member of the Yellow River Center (aka, the Tai Chi 4 LIFE Cooperative) you join a community that cares passionately about holistic health and offers opportunities for obtaining additional learning, products and services. Community Events
The Yellow River Center (YRC) participates in World T'ai Chi and Qigong Day. It also regularly sponsors events in conjunction with the City of Decatur at their newly developed Legacy Park, and in other parks and places in and around the southeastern USA. Aging with Grace for LongevityWhen you learn T'ai Chi/Qigong with us, our goal is to give you a practice that you can take into your senior years with a focus on healing, health and quality of life. This is similar to saving money for retirement, as T'ai Chi/Qigong benefits compound as you age: the earlier you start, the greater the return. |
